How it Started

I started Sol-Lux Electrical as from a young age I always dreamed of being my own boss and felt that it was something I needed to have a go at whether it succeeded or failed. I started my career as an apprentice and worked my way up from the bottom fairly fast, taking on responsibility for whoever I worked for. I have worked for various companies within the trade and in various specialties within it, from standard domestic and high-end residential to commercial and light-industrial fit-outs, mainly in management positions.

To summarise, my electrical knowledge is broad. I have combined all of the knowledge I have learned upon my electrical journey to create what I believe is the perfect electrical contractor, which is Sol-Lux Electrical. For me, a perfect electrical contractor isn’t just one who provides a quality installation – it means quality service from start to finish and thereafter. A perfect electrical contractor means a perfect company to work for and a perfect environment to grow.

This allows us to offer extended warranties on our work and also means that we are constantly assessed to assure our installation and company procedures are up to standard and in check. NICEIC is government approved and is a UCAS compliant service. It is one of the leaders within the electrical governing bodies. We chose NICEIC as it still remains a family run business and shares the same core values as ourselves. NICEIC also keeps us informed and updated about the ever-changing electrical industry with information about new technology and updates to regulations.

We are also a member of TrustMark, who help provide a high level of assurance, certainty and protection to homeowners looking to have work done in and around their homes. TrustMark registered businesses are thoroughly vetted and continually monitored to ensure they meet required standards in technical competence, customer service and trading practices, so homeowners can be sure they’re making the right choice.
